I Cheated

I am a diet coke fiend. My students have often made comments about how I always have a diet coke in my hand in the morning and right after lunch. Imagine their surprise today when their teacher walked in after lunch holding a 7Up can. They stared blankly at the strange green can, and one brave soul stood up to say,

"Mrs. S, are you cheating on diet coke? Why do you have a 7 Up?"

It was all I could do not to laugh. Grace under pressure, I smiled and said, "Oh, just trying' something new."
