I went in this afternoon for my first prenatal appointment. It was kind of surreal to be back at the doctor's office with the same staff who took care of me throughout my first pregnancy, but it felt great to feel so comfortable and to know that they knew me and my history and would be ready to take care of me again.
The visit was pretty standard...they confirmed that I am indeed pregnant and did a pelvic exam. My blood pressure was elevated when they first took it, but when they retook it before I left, it was fine. I am wondering if my nerves got me upfront. They also drew some blood for testing. I talked with the doctor about progesterone levels since that was an issue with Molly and she said they would definitely let me know if I needed to go on a supplement again.
The most exciting part of it all is that I only have to wait 3 more weeks before I get a glimpse at the baby! June 3 is the day of our first ultrasound!!
